I had a problem with wmiprvse. I called Microsoft back in January and they had me increase the memory quota for the process.

It worked for a little bit but the memory would continue to climb but the application wouldn't crash. After that I recontacted Microsoft and reopened my case. They were able to determine the problem and they sent me a test hotfix which fixed the problem of wmiprvse. They indicated to me a public hotfix should be released at the end of April but I don't know what the KB article number is or will be at this time.

The recovery disks are actual disks that I created. Please note, I'm reinstalling the OS as I type this post.
