Or you might be none of those things. It's just too risky dealing with people who are not Microsoft employees, especially if remote access to my computer is involved.

We pay our money to Microsoft for their programs. They are the ones who need to offer real tech support, including access to Microsoft Tech Support agents who are fluent in the language of the customer. There used to be a way to call for an appointment for Tech Support to call back. It was very hard to find. Maybe it's still out there, but Microsoft makes it exceedingly difficult to get to the person we need to speak to, by phone. Please don't be offended, Diane. I would like to hope that you are someone who really wants to help, but if you are computer savvy, you of all people know the dangers of dealing with a stranger.

The only safe Tech Support is one that is provided by the vendor - and that's Microsoft. Maybe someday they will realize that customers are what keep them going. And, judging from posts that I've read, there are myriads of us who are frustrated by the lack of support.
