Sony blu-ray player with wifi bdps390 canada
Select Resetting. Select Reset to Factory default Settings. Select All Settings. For us to further assist you, please provide the model number of the Blu-ray player.
Also, provide the current software version of the unit. I've been using the internal built in wireless for internet connection for about a year. It has mysteriously stopped working Any help would be greatly appreciated and would keep a long time Sony advocate.
Hi wkanemitsu! Please follow the steps provided above to reset the player to its factory default settings. If you still get the message after doing the factory reset, then the unit needs service. Click this link to locate the nearest Sony Authorized Servicer in your area. I have a solution!! I actually have a Sony bdv nw but I got the same error message when trying to connect to wifi. Resetting it didn't work either.
I couldn't have Sony fix mine because it was a gift hence no receipt. My solution was to buy a wireless bridge. This is the one I used.
When you set it up, you'll say that it's a wired connection because it thinks it is since it's in your ethernet port. It's powered by a USB or regular power outlet. I had to turn the Sony system off and on once before it would work. I find that there is a boot up time of maybe a minute but then you're good.
I can once again watch Netflix, Youtube, and all the other stuff with no problems! Thanks, this is the only solution that worked! I had same issue come up with my BDP-N after it had worked for 3 weeks without a problem.
Sony support was completely unhelpful, didn't even know that this unit has a built-in adapter, resetting it to factory settings didn't work either. This told me that going through the hassle of sending it for service at my expense! Only this bridge helped, so thanks again. It was working and suddenly stopped recognizing built in wireless device. For those who reseting to factory default didn't solve the problem, what was the solution? Hi caiomarques, Greetings and thank you for your message.
Unfortunately, we are unable to assist customers outside of the US. That's straight up bs. Don't waste your time and money with these clowns. There is no manufacturer content to show for this product.
Of the reviewers who responded, would recommend this product. Bought this so I could watch movies I owned during the world shutdown Covid. I did not need a unit that offered streaming but the price was right and this gave me flexibility to move the unit to another room later. The Blu-ray player has performed flawlessly. This machine does not have many high end perks but it plays movies. What more do I need? There is a little annoying thing in where my TV changes inputs when i first start using the blu-ray player No issues with the Sony Blu-ray player I bought this to replace a previous player which was physically too large.
This player has a very small footprint, 23cm wide, The remote is a fairly standard Sony Blu Ray remote, it features the usual buttons for playing discs but also a Netflix button and a user programmable favourite button which is good as I use Amazon Prime regularly. You have the option of connecting through a LAN or wirelessly and the connections are smooth with no buffering. Too many problems with this Blu-ray player from day one. First problem was it not working when I upgraded my PC to Windows Second problem is when streaming from my PC through the player to my TV, I encounter what I can only describe as a stuttering issue.
It'll be going along fine and then pauses on it's own, starts playing again, pauses again It's not a very good product and I wish I could get my money back. I purchased it on the recommendation of the sales associate at the store of purchase because I wanted a player with WiFi and Gracenote.
I wasn't sure what to expect from such an inexpensive Blu-ray player, but so far I am pleased with this one. It is also below standard size: mm wide, rather than the norm of mm.
This is the type of unit that you'd put on a shelf with your TV. Especially as it's shaped somewhat like a PlayStation 3, with a gently curved top. Yet, where it counts for its primary purposes, it's all there.
Obviously, it has an Ethernet connection, but Wi-Fi is built-in as well, freeing it from being tethered to a network port. And, here's a surprise. After Sony seemed to have been quite lukewarm about its own high resolution audio discs for a while, this unit actually plays the Super Audio CD. Enthusiasts of the format will be pleased to know that the unit can pipe the native DSD of the format out to a decoder, or convert it to multichannel PCM at One saving too far perhaps is the presence of only one USB socket.
That's on the front panel for convenient multimedia playback. But if you want to use advanced Blu-ray functions, such as BD Live, then there is only one place to add the memory required for its purposes: poking out of the front USB socket. It is a good player, giving excellent picture performance on the majority of Blu-ray and DVDs. On trickier Blu-ray discs, such as those encoded in i format at 50 hertz, and some difficult DVD scenes, the results were good, but imperfect, with some film scenes being construed as video source.
