Florida law requires all couples wishing to get married to apply for a marriage license. Please review the information below for marriage license requirements. The first step in applying for a marriage license is to complete a Marriage License Application. You can do this in one of two ways: Save time and apply online using our eMarriage Application. The older party to the marriage cannot be more than 2 years older than the youngest party to the marriage, and a written and signed affidavit must be filed in compliance with F. Unfortunately not being able to get off of work is an unacceptable reason. Divorced applicants must provide the month and year of divorce and if divorce has been within thirty days prior to the marriage application, a copy of the divorce decree must be provided.

If the applicants are under the age of eighteen, contact the office of the Register of Deeds, Vital Records Section or for requirements. Marriage Certificates can be obtained in person at the Register of Deeds office or by mail. We require a self addressed stamped envelope for all mail in requests.
