Oblivion cd install
Since Wabbajack supports Oblivion and Morrowind, which both came out on CD, it needs to be able to detect these installations. I looked for a setting to simply tell Wabbajack where my install is but there is none- code apparently searches directories based on the assumption that all games are from Steam or other providers like Origin. I also tried satisfying Wabbajack by importing my Oblivion game to Steam through Steam's feature for managing non-Steam games, but that didn't work.
This was during an attempt to install the Bevilex mod pack, following their instructions exactly. Logs Wabbajack. We probably won't be fixing this, the game is cheap enough that CD players can re-purchase it through an online source.
I would consider the problem fixed with a note in the documentation or Readme somewhere, so others won't spend hours trying to diagnose this problem like I did or the error message. OBSE is now installed.
Failure to do so will prevent such mods from working. Keep your Oblivion folder open. You'll need it in the next step. You may close the OBSE folder if you wish.
Copy all of the files see image into your Oblivion folder. You will be notified that the "Data" folder already exists. Go ahead and click "Yes" to overwrite it. Don't worry, this just adds files, you won't lose anything. Then, check the box next to "OblivionReborn. If you don't have your CD for some reason, you can also run the "OblivionLauncher. Now you need to configure OR. You have the option of manually configuring OR through several config files, or downloading a small tool that provides a graphical way to configure OR.
To configure with Oblivion Reborn: Complete, skip to step 6. Manual configuration can be very confusing. To configure OR manually, there are two files you need to edit. The first file, named "realmlist. The first line, "1", tells OR how many servers are in the realmlist file. This should always be "1". The second line, " Please note that there is no colon ":" between the IP and port, just a space. If you are hosting the server on the same machine, you can set the IP address to The second file you need to edit is playername.
As the name suggests, this tells OR your character's name. Unfortunately, it is extremely complicated to try and get name information from Oblivion or OBSE, so this file method was chosen.
I'm having this same issue. I had it installed on several Windows machines over the years with no problems. I just built a new Windows 10 computer that won't run it in compatability mode. The fact that I own the CD should theoretically allow me to install a Windows 10 version via Steam; but the only way I can see to do this since Oblivion has no CD key is to add programs that are already installed to Steam.
Since Oblivion won't install from the disc to Windows 10, I'm in a catch It's too bad this is happening as it is an awesome game. Anyone know any workarounds? Last edited by zeppelin42 ; 21 Feb, am. Per page: 15 30 Date Posted: 20 Feb, pm. Posts: 3.
