ADM files are template files that are used by Group Policies to describe where registry-based policy settings are stored in the registry. Each operating system includes a standard set of ADM files. These standard files are the default files that are loaded by Group Policy Object Editor. Custom ADM files can be created by program developers or IT professionals to extend the use of registry-based policy settings to new programs and components.
