This model is a new technology model and Microsoft discontinued selling new XP in October. If this is a new PC bought directly from Dell, if you are within the 21 days from the date it was shipped, you can call Dell and get a return authorization.
Then do some research and buy a PC that is XP compatible. Thanks for the info and help. I have basic XP running, but the problem was only with the monitor display. So I guess I can continue with this dell model instead of going through return and buying up a new PC. Browse Community.

When you tell me there is a Hardware Profile of Zero, it means that the XP installation probably misinterpreted the hardware using the HAL during the install.
