Wow manual heavy frostweave
EDIT2: As of patch 4. My level was 77 and first aid skill Comment by this dropped for me while killing unbound seer's below dalaran to level my unarmed skill after only killing a few of them. Comment by Dropped for me off a Daraku Blood Drinker after about 20 minutes killing mobs at 33, 80 in Zul' Drak.
From the posts at the beginning of this thread I believe one could be forgiven for thinking they should only kill the Daraku Beserkers, this is incorrect, kill all the mobs. Good hunting. Comment by Berrenger Dropped for me on my second or third kill in the courtyard in front of the Argent Stand. Comment by krunj82 Inexplicably, and against all my experience with 7 other characters, the Manual just dropped for me in Crystalson Forest at I was hitherto completely unaware that the manual could be found outside Zul'drak.
Comment by At first i was sceptical, but indeed. After a few kills it nicely dropped for me, and i didnt even have to kill the things Comment by acff Dropped after my 3rd kill in Zul'Drak having skill. Comment by Had the prerequisites of level 70 and skill 77, , flew to that area after reading these posts, upon FIRST kill the book dropped. I think theres the best place to go if you can. From a blooddrinker.
Comment by Ethesis The easiest way to get to Rageclaw den is to go up the stairs towards the entrance to the instance as you leave Grizzly Hills, get ganked, and then resurrect at the graveyard, that will walk you right into the flight master next door, get the flight point then just go out the south exit and farm a little.
Usually minutes or less until the book drops. Then you can return to your normal progression. What is really impressive about this particular drop is that you don't have to do much damage at all on the mobs to get the drop unlike some where you have to do half the damage or more, on this set you just have to tag them to be able to loot.
Which is why a level 35 could grind the manual here. It never dropped, so I decided to level it to to see what would happen. It dropped on the first kill after lvl'ing to I don't know if that was just coincidence, but thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. Comment by Neat little trick with this book If you drag the manual to one of your hotbars and THEN learn it, the manual will be replaced with a spell to create an individual heavy bandage.
While It doesn't have the convenience of being able to just "set it and forget it" to make a stack of 'em, you don't have to open your First Aid crafting pane to make one if you like to make them one at a time. So, not as practical as it is neat. Comment by Got my first aid to and within 3 kills at Rageclaw Den it dropped, make sure you are in first aid imo that way you will get it pretty well much straight away.
Comment by Could Someone help me? I have been killing mobs in Zul Drak for more than 1 hour and a half, then i read the comments and y go to kill to Rageclaw den but i have been killing Drakuru berserker and blood drinker for more than one hour and the book doesn't apear. Thx PD: Sorry if i speak bad but im spanish ;.
Comment by Don't farm the book, farm the zone. Otherwise, just run lots of instances. It drops all the time. Comment by Also tried grinding it at lvl Comment by I have a question. Can i see it again when i see it once, but not loot it? Caz i farming it 2 days :. Comment by I can confirm that if you have First Aid or or higher to get this to drop..
I tested this by having first aid of and did enough heroics to get the title "the patient" 50 random people and it never dropped.
Comment by Thaillen I got my manual at the top of the steps entering Zul' Drak from a drop after killing the first monster that approaced. Couldn't believe it Comment by Ocker Just got it at Was sitting on First Aid at the time. Comment by The key is being First Aid. I was , and i was killing mobs for about 15 mins before i realized Comment by redrummer Ok, finally got it for my lvl 69 priestess, first aid, and it turns out to cost about a gold.
All in all, worth the effort. Had cold weather flying from the book and may hit 70 by the time I finish exploring Northrend. Some helpful comments on here, got mine in rageclaw den, btw, though at first didn't think the guys were gonna help me. Comment by As of the bandage book still drops at 33,80 in Zul'Drak. Thank you to all the other ppl that posted the information prier to this post.
Comment by First Aid required for the book to drop. Comment by aseron I'm lvl 36, and have first aid. Where do you suggest i grind with a lvl 80 buddy? I decided to kill two mobs that followed me, and the manual dropped.
So the manual dropped before I even got to 33, Therefore it might be worth noting that the mobs on the road do drop the manual as well, so one would perhaps save time by killing these if following the same road as I did. Also, I had been saving Frostweave Bandages for this manual through my questing in Northrend, and had cloths when I got this manual. Straight up to skill level Comment by Seac I've had no trouble getting this book on my toons before, I always grab it at first aid.
I went to pick it up for my DK today, patch 3. Comment by I just picked it up at 33,80 with my level 73 Pally. Took a min to level up to had FW in my bag and the book dropped on the 4th mob..
Comment by Perlita I looted this book along with my friend easily in front of the cementary at the coordinates 29, Just kill the Drakuru around in front of the cementary; I killed 3 and then got the book.
Comment by 1Beachcomber Just got this in 4 kills at first aid. Level 70 mage. As stated, just tag the Drakuru mobs at some point and you will be able to loot. The friendly Rageclaws do not always help right away. If you are a low level toon you may get beat down a few times as a result. You may fare better if you let the Drakuru enter the area where the 5 Rageclaws are parked, then they are more likely to aggro.
I sent in a screenshot of the location you need to be in. Comment by jive yep. Got the book in like 5 minutes. Took only like 10 kills. Easy stuff. Comment by just got the book to drop for my lvl 43 hunter Comment by I just stood there waiting FA Comment by Fondell Did this on the 17th of April , and it dropped for me after mobs in Zul'Drak at the previously specified coordinates, southeast of Light's Breach.
Comment by level 80 toon. Comment by Just wanted to post a level related update. Just got this manual at First Aid, at level Doesn't appear to be any level requirement involved in the drop, just First Aid skill. For anyone else wishing to get this at low level, leap from Dalaran sewers and splat on the floor below. Corpse run your way across Crystalsong and into Zul Drak to the spirit healer just outside of Lights Breach.
Log out, then back in Unsure whether this is still a needed step, I did it to ensure I wouldn't rez at the Crystalsong spirit healer. Rez at the healer. Run out to Make your way to where the fighting is happening and either wand the mobs like I did, or whatever ranged weapon you can pull out, and be ready to run back to the camp to let the guards take care of any mobs that want to try maim you. Took me 13 kills, and 1 death, but I'm now a level 36 warlock that can heal for over 8 seconds.
Comment by on I spent 5 minutes in Zul'drak 33, 80 and it dropped from a Drakuru Blood Drinker, so the location still appears to be correct. I was already at first aid as well. Comment by Krusader Wow, thanks for your comments guys. As such it's rather odd why Blizzard didn't just put this as a trainer recipe on First Aid, because it drops pretty much immediately after reaching this skill.
Comment by Vladi1q1 The easiest way to get this is to go to a random dungeon or random heroic and It will drop very like very very fast. I think this is better than farming :P. Comment by aleksandru got it from a Drakuru Berserker at first kill.
Comment by I can confirm, that last night at 9 PM the book dropped for a level 60 DK with skill level in first aid. We were fighting at 33, 80 like everyone else has said on here and it dropped after about three kills. So you do not have to be level 70 to loot the book, but it does seem that you need to have your skill level to about We farmed for about 15 minutes at skill level and it didn't drop, so we made the bandages and got the DK's skill level to and it dropped almost instantly.
First aid skill was at and I killed dozens of mobs in Zul Drak to no avail. I then looked in my bag and found that I had one stack of Heavy Frostweave Bandages in my bag. Must have picked them up as a quest reward. I deleted the bandages from my bag and presto! Got the book on the first kill. So if you're having trouble, check for the bandages and delete them. Comment by When i startet out, trying to learn heavy frostweave cloth bandage, i spended atleast 20 mins killing mobs at that Comment by yup seems zul drak is the best place where u can get this.
Comment by Got it after like 5 minutes? Really a good spot. Comment by It would seem that after all this time, the true requirements for obtaining this are still not known, at least with regard to character level.
I just spent 15 minutes bashing humanoid mobs in crystalsong forest with a 80 hunter and a 43 mage whose first aid was at level We had 7 manuals lying on the ground, but the 43 mage could not pick one up because the tool tip said they did not meet the requirement.
So, apparently, you must be higher than 43 to get the manual. My level 72 DK with First Aid tagged 3 mobs and waited for them to die and the book dropped on the 2nd mob I looted. I have been questing looking for "heavy frostweave bandage book. Now any of my toons that do not have this skill, I bring to this spot, and within minutes I get the book The coords are 33, Comment by It took me about five minutes on my own at lvl 72 on my BE Paladin.
But that's probably more of some lucky shots. I didn't read the comments trough, so I though I had to fight the big monster. I was lucky I looted the mob that had the book!
I killed six mobs, got enough Frostweave cloth off of them to kick my FA skill to , and the very next mob I went after dropped the book. Comment by Intangible Yep, same as everyone else, 4 kills and I got the manual at 33 Comment by Gaevon I agree with 'wolfsmomma9'. I grind for some things firefly, white kittens and had been thinking this would be the same. Dropped in the first 3 or 4 kills Gotta love it! Thanks for the info! Comment by PicklesForever I was mid-flight to Zul'Drak to farm for this manual when my random dungeon popped.
It was the Occulus, but literally 3rd or 4th mob down and guess what dropped! I needed it, and got it. I'm sure if someone else had gotten it, I could have traded them or it would have dropped again.
Now, no farming for me! Of course, my shaman is lvl 80, with first aid, so hence the drop. Comment by Iamcameron I didn't go through to read all the comments to see if this had been addressed yet, but after a bit of reading and seeing that this only drops at a certain First Aid reminds me of other drops that have incredibly hopeless drop rates like the Jeeves schematic.
Keep in mind that the droprates are registered by all players with or without the professions, so it registers tons of non-drops because they didn't meet the necessary requirements for it to drop, so people who meet the requirements have a MUCH higher chance for it to drop, I'm seeing comments on this dropping within anywhere from 2 kills to 10 minutes, so it does not seem like a hard farm at all, ignore the drop rates.
Comment by Vanna I looted the book at Level Had a guildie run me through and looted it and learned it. So there is no Level requirement only that your first aid is at at least , and you can learn it at lvl Comment by went to 30,80 and got it on very first kill! Comment by HordeSkorp Well even with the not so good drop rate it was still easy to find I killed 3 of these mobs and it dropped, remember its a BoP is you won't see it in an Auction House.
Comment by Ancai My first toon to hit 80 needed two or three kills to find the book, and I think her first aid was over at the time. I spent quite some time farming with the second until I noticed I hadn't hit ; once I had, the book dropped eight kills later.
Comment by manboyeatme Strange thing happened to me. When i hit skill i went farming for this while i was in dungeon Que. When the Que popped one of the mobs dropped this. Comment by What are you doing in Zul'Drak at level 71? Comment by Baalah I had for about half an hour and decided to lvl to so i could learn it instantly, and it droped 2 mobs after i dinged I'm not saying is wrong, but it is better to level firstaid to while grinding this. Comment by Seems that this book is no longer needed, First aid trainers in Nortrend have the Heavy Frostweave Bandage in their list after 4.
Comment by Chamenas As of patch 4. You no longer need this, any First-Aid trainer should be able to teach you this recipe. Comment by having power leveled many alts and friends using my paladin who remains at first aid just got the GM achievement and never use first aid i can say the following, anyone with the proper first aid skill , will see the book quick enough when killing any level 75 mobs in any zone or dungeon instance.
Comment by Kirbeth I was farming Frostweave Cloth in Icecrown Glacier when a random level 80 dropped the manual for me. My First Aid was level at the time. Requires level First Aid to use. Soulbound item. Comment by Marloss It seems like the drop chance on this item has dropped significantly.
I farmed for perhaps half an hour, but it didn't drop. I then leveled it up 10 skill levels to and continued farming. After ten more minutes it finally dropped. Can anyone share their experience on the drop chance as of today and possible confirm or disprove this?
Edit: I see that it requires First Aid skill level to learn, so it seems to have been increased and that you have to be at First Aid skill level to be able to loot it. Comment by cadetduke Just took me 2 kills at 33, First kill Recipe: Bad Clams dropped.
Comment by All the comments on this page were created before this recipe became purchasable from a First Aid Trainer. So you don't have to farm for the manual any more. However if you do have a manual you can save yourself about 5g by using it instead of paying the trainer.
Comment by the Drakuru Raptor Raider drop this item ca. Comment by Blakmane This thing dropped 14 times after one shotting around 32 Acolytes and Cultists in Naxxramas. I was like "what the f View in 3D Links. Quick Facts. Sell Price: 2 Requires Frostweave Cloth 2. Comment by Just a tip. Slows down your leveling speed by a lot when you try to bandage yourself. Found out this the hard way when trying to be smart late at night. Comment by Due to a lot of people still doing the achievement, these are sometimes auctioned for less than the vendor price. If a stack of 20 is in the AH for less than 5g buy it or bid on it and sell it to the vendor.
Easiest money ever made. Comment by Kaylthas They need to realease a stronger one. As a rogue, I rely insanely on bandages. Comment by Hiding92 Can be used for the achivement : ''Ultimate triage''.
Comment by mstieler This is now trainable from all First Aid Trainers. Comment by Tripster There's quite a gap between heavy frostweave, which heals , and the next one, embersilk, which heals for Kinda sucks for those capped at These rares also give Northern Exposure and progress towards Frostbitten.
Comment by Eraclitus Although the first aid skill was removed with the BFA Pre-Patch, the bandages are still available in the game and can now only be made by tailors. For all other professions the different types of cloth are still required for a couple of recipes. So check your recipes to see if you can use the cloth before you sell it through auction house or to a vendor. View in 3D Links. Quick Facts.
