Adobe acrobat form data disappears

When we open the document on the machine, none of the fields which were populated originally on the XP machine are visible. When I click on one of the form areas where populated data should be displaying, I receive an error "There was an error processing an annotation or link.


There was a problem reading this document We have not done any Windows or Adobe updates in several weeks. I've seen multiple posts on the same problem but none of the solutions I've seen work. I followed a link to a solution to modify the register in Windows but I don't know how to do that on a Mac. This isn't a form. It's a PDF document with no other fields. Valid file types are: 8bf, abf, abr, act, aep, afm, ai, arw, as, ase, avi, bmp, book, cel, cfc, chproj, cptx, cr2, cr3, crf, crw, css, csv, dn, dng, doc, docx, eps, epub, exif, fbx, fla, flac, flv, fm, gif, icma, icml, ico, ics, idml, indd, jpeg, jpg, jsfl, json, log, loss, lrcat, lrtemplate, m4a, mif, mov, mp3, mp4, mpg, nef, nrw, obj, odt, orf, otc, otf, pdf, pfb, pfm, pmd, png, ppj, ppt, pptx, prc, prel, prproj, ps, psb, psd, raf, raw, rtf, sbs, sbsar, sbsm, scc, ses, sesx, skp, sol, srt, srw, ssa, stl, svg, swf, tif, ttc, ttf, txt, wav, wmv, x3f, xd, xls, xlsx, xml, xmp.


Are you sure you want to proceed? Collect user data. After a user submits a form, open the returned form. Creates a new response file, using the name and location you specify. Add user data to an existing response file. Open the response file in Acrobat. In the secondary toolbar, click Add. Export user data from a response file. In Acrobat, open the response file and select the data to export. Manage form data files. Import form data. In Acrobat , open the PDF form into which you want to import data.


Export file data. In Acrobat , open the completed form file. Merge exported data files to a spreadsheet. Repeat the previous step to add form data files that are in other locations, as needed.
