Yes it was a special update, code from GLScene was accidentally used: delphitools. You can check the version number in the About box. I invariably got this error message: I checked and the file was there, but in fact I could not even copy it, as explorer would report an error. For me all went smooth with the upgrade but when I try and execute Xe I see nothing on the screen but bds. I waited a long time to see if it was busy but it just spins away forever.

I kill it with the Task Manager. I have D on same PC, do not know if that matters. It did not when I installed XE to begin with. Still investigaing, do not want to blame Embarcadaro as you never know. First time since Tubo Pascal days I have had a major issue like this with their products.
