Some minor lifting parts are missing. Look closely at the pictures. Ask questions. Remove as much rust as possible and then maybe use a relatively coarse grit sanding disk on the grinder to somewhat polish the disc surface.

If the disc surface is smooth you may not need a scraper. This approach my be the best option. Have a very successful Barn Dance next month. Gig 'Em! It shows the scraper, and parts for the scraper on page You might find the parts online, I don't know. I can't tell if arm number 2, on page 14, is long enough to go up over the disc, and bolt on, there isn't any other part shown, so maybe it does.

You might have known this already. Re: Disc Plow Setup Post by Scrivet » Thu Mar 07, am A spreader bars purpose is to keep the arms on the hitch pivot pins, it also provides a place to hitch an implement. Your plow already has a spreader bar welded in. The spreader bar I think of when I hear "spreader bar" vaguely U shaped slightly narrower than a regular drawbar with three hitch holes is really for a Cub plow.

It looks to me like this may be a Hester Disc Plow. Not sure a scraper off a would bolt up if you found one. I do agree with Bill polish it up.

If the grounds not to wet shouldn't be a problem. If the grounds to wet you shouldn't be plowing anyway. Worse case, get a heavy duty, yardstick sized stick and keep it on the tractor. Stop when needed and knock the dirt off without having to get out of the seat.

If you haven't set them, it will work much easier when the front axle is spaced out to ride in the previous furrow and the right rear wheel is set to ride in the furrow you are making.
