Any error messages about missing files? Typically this is caused by something being missing, it may also have registry values that weren't copied over from the last XP system it worked on. I don't think you can just copy Windows application files over, the way a DOS pc used to work. Do you have install media for the game? I lost the disc a long time ago, I don't know where it went.


I was wondering if I could patch it to work or something. The media used to install Windows programs not only creates the games folder and copies the program files, it sets registry entries, copies support files all over the machine, and they sometimes write to or replace.


Without the install media I think you have some extra space on a USB to recover! You guys telling me I can't play the game unless I have the original installer due to the registry files not existing?


Oh, Well, Thanks for the help, Kinda a bummer that Windows can't run games unless it has registry files. I had seen this, but wasn't sure it would be safe to recommend. Make sure you are connected to the Internet. If you are on vista or windows 7, click Start, and in the search box, type cmd. In the results, right-click on the cmd.
