I was prepared to hate this, but it's actually pretty funny. Fine NKOTB you win this time... 😂🤣. Great specific analysis, but the finale gets a little botched. The play and film are separated in time almost symmetrically by Stonewall. The film was a victim of timing. I do a little closer look at that here. I also think that a little more analysis could be added to how each of these characters were a rainbow flag of characters that created a variety of archetypes before they were stereotypes, with ranges of camp, femininity, and bitchiness. It's hardly stereotyping when there are such a variety of characters presented. P.S. There was a new dvd blu-ray release of the film made fairly recently (I think 2010? in the U.S. which has been retouched. I'm not sure where you are located or how you edit, but really good copies exist.
