成人年齢（せいじんねんれい）の引（ひ）き下（さ）げ

2022年4月1日（にせんにじゅうにねんーしがつついたち）から、成人年齢（せいじんねんれい）が、20歳（にじゅっさい）から、18歳（じゅうはっさい））に引（ひ）き下（さ）げられます。

From April 1, 2022, the adult age will be reduced from 20 to 18.

▮今（いま）までと変（か）わること＝18歳（じゅうはっさい）からできること

Things to change　until now (What you can do from the age of 18)

・色々（いろいろ）な契約（けいやく）が保護者（ほごしゃ）の同意（どうい）なくできる
・有効期間（ゆうこうきかん）が10年（じゅうねん）のパスポートを取得（しゅとく）できる
・栽判員（さいばいいん）に選（えら）ばれる。
・女性（じょせい）の結婚年齢（けっこんねんれい）の引（ひ）き上（あ）げる＝16歳（じゅうろくさい）から18歳（じゅうはちさい）になる。
・公認会計士（こうにんかいけいし））、司法書士（しほうしょし）、行政書士（ぎょうせいしょし）などの資格（しかく）が取（と）れる。
・性同一障害者（せいどういつしょうがいしゃ）の性別変更（せいべつへんこう）の申（もう）し立（た）てが出来（でき）る。

・ Various contracts can be made without the consent of parents
・ You can get a passport with a validity period of 10 years.
・ Selected as a lay judge
・ Raising the marriage age of women (from 16 to 18 years old)
・ Qualifications such as certified accountant, judicial scrivener, administrative scrivener can be obtained
・If you have a gender identity disorder,you can apply to change your gender.

▮今（いま）までと変（か）わらないこと＝20歳（にじゅっさい）からできること

Things that are the same as before (things that can be done from the age of 20)

・飲酒(いんしゅ)や喫煙（きつえん）はできない
・国民年金（こくみんねんきん）の加入義務（かにゅうぎむ）がある
・公営（こうえい）ギャンブル《競輪（けいりん）・競馬（けいば）・競艇（きょうてい）・オートレースなど４つ》はできない

・ You cannot drink alcohol and smoking
・ Obligation to join the national pension
・ Public gambling (4 bicycle races, horse races, boat race, auto race   etc.) is not possible
