この間「私は朝が苦手この間「私は朝が苦手だから、let’s Enjoy English at IO English World together soon, not early, okay?」って言ったんですね？ Well, how do you say,“苦手”in English? There are two ways…

①I’m not good at 名詞/動名詞

When you want to say,“私は 〜が苦手”and that something is a skill (お勉強や練習で上手くなれることだったら) you can say…I’m not good at 名詞/動名詞。

▼ For example…

・I’m not good at math.（私は数学が苦手です）

・I’m not good at ping pong. (私は卓球が苦手です)

・I’m not good at drawing. (私は絵を描くことが下手です)

Many students are good at using this form↑↑

 しかし！ 何々が苦手って言おうとする時はお勉強や練習で上手くなれないことだったら“I’m not good at 何々”って言わないんですよ！ 

これは生徒さんがよく間違えるところです。So what should you say? It’s very easy! Just say…

② I don’t like 何々。

と言うことで！ 「私は朝が苦手です」って ① と ② の中ではどちらのほうが良いのでしょうか？ 答えは、もちろん、“I don’t like mornings”ですね(^_^)v

▼Here are some more examples…

・I don’t like spicy food. (私は辛いものが苦手。)

・I don’t like jealous guys. (私はやきもちやきの男性が苦手。)

・I don’t like flying. (飛行機苦手。)
