Automotive Engineering Exposition 2021
The “Automotive Engineering Exposition 2021” is currently being held online.
The event was first held in 1992.
I participated in the inaugural event as a secretariat and explainer for Sumitomo Electric Industries, and have visited the venue every year since then.
We also participate in the exhibition every year together with Sumitomo Electric Industries and Sumitomo Wiring Systems.
This exhibition is not aimed at the general public like a motor show, but is mainly focused on automotive technology.
Therefore, the target audience was engineers from car manufacturers, and seminars were planned for them to discuss, so it was a place where we could conduct targeted participants awareness activities.
Exhibitions where new products and technologies can be "actually touched" and "directly explained" are very valuable places.
However, I'm a little concerned about how much of the message will be conveyed since the event was held online under the Corona virus pandemic.
Exhibited products
Our company is exhibiting five products in the two areas of "Sensing" and Heat Control" as CASE-related products.
The five products are "Film Decorative Ornaments," "Cabin Space Devices," "Driver Monitoring Systems," "Thin-film High-heat insulation Material: Finesulight," and "Heat insulation Material” between battery cells.
The details of each of these can be viewed in the "Various Documents" section of the press release, and I encourage all employees to take a look.
My personal focus is on “Finesulight”.
This is because there is a possibility that we can learn from the participants of the exhibition how to use this product in ways that we have not thought of.
As I mentioned earlier, there are some concerns about holding an online event, but on the other hand, it can be viewed at any time and any number of times on a PC or smartphone, so depending on how we use this technology and how it is used, it can also be said that there are great business opportunities.
We are proud of the fact that we are creating new products with the most advanced technology, but web technology and tools are also evolving rapidly.
Be proactive in incorporating new technologies and tools into your work so that we can keep up with the new waves of the times.
It’s important to “respond to changes without being bound by past concepts”, isn’t it?
