In The Markman, Liam Neeson plays an emotionally tethered cash-strapped rancher who becomes obsessed with the destruction of the American Dream. In the role of the titular character, he aims to be the next Clint Eastwood or Liam Neeson, or even the creator of "The Muppets." While he may not be the most convincing actor in the world, Neeson has established a distinct screen persona.
Though The Marksman is a predictable story with an overly-earnest musical score, it still manages to maintain a fast clip and deliver the basic goods within a respectable runtime. Though the film contains some formulaic elements and obvious character arcs, its underlying message about border security and society is worth contemplating. The Marksman isn't as exciting as The Grey, but it does provide a thrilling ride that will keep you interested until the end.

Now his ranch is in jeopardy due to the bank's foreclosing on it. As Jim tries to keep his ranch, he meets two migrants trying to cross the border, a mother and son on the run from a Mexican cartel. Jim and Miguel take them on a cross-country journey, where Jim discovers that he is a good man.

"The Marksman" is a thrilling heist movie starring Morgan Freeman as a renowned jewel thief. As the leader of a gang of heiststers, Freeman plays an extremely skilled thief. The main objective of the film is to steal two Faberge Imperial Eggs from a safe while avoiding the NYPD and the Russian mafia. Heist movies are a great way to pass the time, but they can be very predictable, too.
"The Marksman" has become one of Morgan Freeman's most successful films. Freeman's affable character, Victoria, tries to put her dark past as a Russian drug courier in the past. However, a mysterious man (Freeman), who holds her daughter as a ransom, forces her to do his bidding. With her motorcycle and guns in hand, Victoria must take down the gangsters, or risk losing her only child.
"The Marksman" has a spine-tingling plot. The director, Robert Lorenz, wrote the screenplay along with Chris Charles and Danny Kravitz. Tai Duncan, Mark Williams, and Eric Gold produced the movie. This movie looks familiar to movie fans, but it is actually a different story. Freeman does his best to make the audience care about him and his work. Aside from the good cast, the movie also features an impressive ensemble cast.
"The Marksman" grossed $16 million in the domestic theaters, before it hit PVOD and became a hit on Apple TV and GooglePlay. "Promising Young Woman" was the next best post-Oscar contender at $5.99 and #4, respectively. The latter had the highest rating among the Oscar contenders. This movie was also released on Blu-ray and DVD. It has been a critical and commercial success.

Liam Neeson plays a retired Marine named Jim Hanson, who has spent his savings to pay for his wife's medical bills. With his ranch on the line, his savings are rapidly running out. When Jim comes across a group of migrants crossing the border from Mexico, his wife Rosa asks him to pick up their son Miguel and take him to Chicago. Unfortunately, the son's father has been abducted by Mexican gangsters, and now the two are on the run from them.
Despite its minimal violence and lukewarm urgency, "The Marksman" is a decent film. This is the second film in three months for Neeson, and his performance here is worthy of the attention. As a former melon farmer, Liam Neeson has been stuck in a similar rut as Bronson: bland action programs that make him look and sound mediocre. While "The Marksman" isn't the best movie of the year, it is still engaging enough to make most viewers stick around for the credits, and probably won't be a one-night stand the following week.
Despite being a formulaic action film, the opening act tries to make us care about Jim's character and make us root for him. Although a Vietnam veteran, he has an adorable dog companion named Miguel. Jim's quiet life is upended by a young boy who's being pursued by Mexican cartel members. The movie is a good example of this kind of filmmaking. While the film is a formulaic one, Liam Neeson's performance is compelling and his chemistry with Jacob Perez is believable.

Liam Neeson's late-life charisma and deep voice are enough to carry the film, but not enough to lift the film above the formulaic dregs. The film's slickly produced and edited action set-pieces are competently executed, but the film's flaws are less apparent than its strengths.

"The Marksman" is due out on January 15, 2021. Raven Capital Management, the investor-backed production company that financed the movie, acquired Open Road Films in 2018, which also financed the film. Robert Lorenz was the director. Most theaters will be closed for Covid in January, but Warner Bros.'s release of "Little Things" on Jan. 29 has the potential to fill the void. The second half of January is likely to bring more movies than January, as many theaters will be closed for winter breaks.
"The Marksman" is Liam Neeson's second action film in three months. It follows the formula of "The Raider" and "Mr. Majestyk", two of the actor's other films. The script has some flaws, but the actors do a great job of getting the job done. In addition, Liam Neeson's character has some great moments, but the film does not have the necessary depth to make the movie worth watching.
