子どもフレンドリー｜Child Frendry

子育てで大変なのが外食だ。子どもが大人しくしてくれていたら良いのだけれど、突然泣き叫んで、他の方の迷惑にならないかとヒヤヒヤする。アンパンマンがあちこちいるようなレストランもいいけれど、ちゃんとした美味しい食事もしたい。先日こじんまりとした和食屋さんに行ったのだが、ほぼ常連さんで占められ、騒がないかとドキドキした。隣のご夫婦にいないいないばぁをし始めると、にこやかに対応してくれる。聞くと同世代のお孫さんいらっしゃるとのこと。今度はビールを飲みたいと騒ぎ始める。フランス人のご夫婦が手を振って気をそらしてくれる。こちらのご夫婦にも小さなお子さんがいらっしゃるとのこと。他のグループの方にも手を振ってもらったり、ムスメは終始ご機嫌だ。お陰でお料理を楽しく味わうことができた。お店はお客さんがつくるといわれるけれど、まさにその通りだなぁ。（絵と文：サカキテツ朗）

Dining out is a difficult part of raising children. It would be nice if the child was quiet, but she suddenly cried and we were a nuisance to other people. A restaurant with Anpanman everywhere is nice, but I also want to have a proper and delicious meal. We went to a small Japanese restaurant the other day, and it was almost full of regulars, and I was nervous that my daughter wouldn't make any noise. She started playing peek-a-boo to the couple next table, they responded with a smile. I heard that there are grandchildren of the same generation. This time, she started making a fuss about wanting to drink beer. A French couple waved their hands to distract her. This couple also had a small child. Other groups also waved their hands, and she was in a good mood from beginning to end. Thanks to them, we were able to enjoy the food.
