Enlightening activities in school!! 小学生は元気いっぱい！

I live in Antanarivo, catipal city of Madagscar. So I have many opportunities to join or help some volunteer activities.
Today, I went to the Andoharanofotsy elementary school and preschool. There are 1,000 students in the schools.

僕のボランティア活動は首都のアンタナナリボ市内なので、数多くのボランティア活動にお手伝いさせてもらう機会があります。
今日の午前中は、小学校と幼稚園が一緒になっている学校へ訪問しました。
（マダガスカルでは５歳未満の幼児も小学校と同じ敷地内にあることが多いです。)

I saw the students with linking their wrists behind their back going to the toilet before class.
They are in good discipline.

今回で小学校を訪れるのが２回目ですが、この小学校でも授業開始前に１列になって、手を後ろに組みながらトイレに行っていました。おそらく騒いで遊びながら移動するのを制限しているのだと思います。このように躾はしっかりしている学校が多いようです。

Volunteers showed a Kamishibai about how much important washing hands is. Then we taught students how to wash the hands cleanly and then we did "Manasa Tanana" dance which was created by JICA for enlightening washings hands.

本日のイベントのボランティア団体の参加はJICAを含め３つ。
まず初めに、JICAの作製した手洗いの大切さを短い物語にした紙芝居をしてから、手洗い指導を行いました。そして恒例の手洗いダンス！なんと４回もリピートしました笑
小学生達よりも先生や学校関係者の方がノリノリで踊ってくれました。
流石、JICAが約１０年前にマダガスカルに普及させたダンスだけあります。
僕は、いまだにリズム感のない踊りですみません・・・。

 

We taught them how to brush the teeth as well.

そして、歯磨きの大切さと磨き方の指導と約２時間半みっちりと青空教室でした。

I hope that they like to tell their friends and family what they learned today and will teach their children in their future.

子どもたちは、家に帰ったら「今日習ったことを家族の人にも教える～』って元気に言っていました。彼らが大人になっても子どもたちに教えて継承されることを願います。
