This model has been originally introduced by Alden of Carmel in the fall of 1999.  That was exactly the time when I started purchasing Alden shoes and I remember AoC dramatically changed their HP design that time.

I was much more interested in rare shell and I finally didn't purchase any Plaza last models but I remember AoC HP had a lot of Plaza last shoes released on their HP.

Well, I happened to learn through my friend that AoC was taking preorders of AF22.  I already owned Plain Toe Blucher with commando sole, but I was quite interested in Plaza last Plain Toe and decided to place an order.

This shoe has a square long toe and wide-looking body.  Antique edge sole which didn't exist in 1999 matches very well with dark burgundy shell cordovan.  This model has a nice elegant look but commando sole adds massive image to its overall appearance that is really cool to me!  :-)
