Tia Coleman lost 9 Members of Her Family in Duck Boat Tragedy
On Thursday, Coleman Family planned a trip to Duck Boat Ride as their children love water rides. The Coleman family members and other passengers were present on the duck boat near Branson, Missouri. Suddenly, a furious storm came and high winds from the thunderstorm caused a lot of rough waves. Soon it crashed and sank the boat into the lake. There were 37 people who were present on the boat. Almost 17 people lost their lives in the accident.
The crew member “Bob Williams” who was the captain of the boat was the first victim of the tragedy. He was about 73 years old and was the captain of the “Ride the Ducks” boat from a very long time.
In addition, nine Coleman family members drowned and died during the accident. There was three generation on the boat. Tia’s husband and her three children also lost their lives. Somehow, Tia drifted away on the surface and the rescue team saved her. She was admitted in the nearby hospital by them. According to doctors, she had swallowed a lot of water but now Tia is absolutely out of danger.
Tia paid tribute to her husband & children and other 5 members of the family in the hospital. She said “I don’t know if there is a recovery from it. The biggest thing is a lot of prayers. A lot of prayers, a lot of support. It’s only the beginning so I don’t know.”
