The Worst Flood in Pakistan's History

2022.10.07 10:06

Pakistan's geographical location places it in a dangerous region of the world. According to various reports, Pakistan may face a slew of disasters in the near future as a result of climate change. And now Pakistan is experiencing the worst flood in its history. The worst flooding in a few weeks is caused by heavy monsoon rains, affecting over 33 million people.

Over 900 people have died as a result of the flood, which has displaced a large number of people since June. Southern Punjab, KPK, Sindh, and Baluchistan have been hit especially hard. The weather forecasting agency of the country issues warnings of impending rains and reports to federal and provincial governments, allowing them to take immediate action to deal with the situation.

The country also experienced flooding in 2010, which affected 78 districts, but this year's flood affects over 150 districts and is considered the worst in Pakistan's history. Food shortages, home deterioration, and constant rains in affected areas exacerbate the damage to both human lives and wealth. Over 2 million people have relocated to safe areas and are staying in government-run shelters.

Various countries are assisting Pakistan's government and people. It is time for every international country to step forward to help the people of Pakistan in their hour of need. In order to prevent further harm, the suffering of humanity must be addressed with all available resources.

Remit Choice stands firmly with the Pakistani people during this worst-case scenario and will continue to do so until the disaster is over and lives resume normalcy. Because humans are everything to us, and they will find us anywhere in the world when they need us. Everyone, inside and outside the country, must help the Pakistanis during this difficult time because humanity is suffering greatly.
