Ifeanyi Kalu was born in Surulere, Lagos State, Nigeria on February 13, 1988 to Mr. and Mrs. Emmanuel Gilbert Kalu. He is of the Igbo tribe and originally from Imo State in Nigeria’s eastern region

He is the fifth and final child in a family of five. He has four siblings, four sisters to be exact.
He studied fashion design at the Zaris Fashion and Style Academy and earned a degree in computer science from Lagos State University.
He also has a National Institute of Information Technology Java and Oracle certification (NIIT).
Career
Kalu began his career as a model, appearing in television commercials and billboard advertisements. He enrolled in the Royal Arts Academy to study acting in 2011. In 2012, he was cast in the role of Usen in the film Kokomma, which was produced by Uduak Isong Oguamanam and directed by Tom Robson. The film was nominated for three Africa Movie Academy Awards.

In 2019, he received another nomination for Best Supporting Actor from the City People Awards, and the same year, he was nominated for and won the Best Supporting Actor award at the United Kingdom-based Zulu African Film Academy Awards (ZAFAA) for his role in the film Kuvana, in which he co-starred with Wale Ojo, Sambasa Nzeribe, and Ivie Okujaiye.

On December 30, 2021, Ifeanyi Kalu married his lovely wife, Nicolette Ndigwe. They married in a traditional wedding ceremony at Nwangele local government area in Imo State.
