This movie is the Bollywood debut of Naga Chaitanya. Moving to the story Manila has been represented as the girlfriend of Laal Singh Chaddha. The original concept of the story is adapted from the 1994 released famous American film, Forrest Gump.

The filming of the movie has been done in more the 100 different locations in India. The first half starting of the movie scenes is shot in Chandigarh, Punjab. The shooting was started on 31st October 2019 and later in March 2020, it was stopped due to Covid-19 spread across the country.

But in the mid of September 2020 shooting restarted and the movie was scheduled to be released on Christmas of 2020.

But it was again delayed due to the close of all theatres by the government of India. But now after the orders of the Indian Government, all theatres are opened and Laal Singh Chaddha will hit the theatres on 11th August 2022.
