オリジナル楽譜ができました。｜My original sheet music is now available.

　「弾き語りしてみたらどうですか？」と、10年来のボイストレーナーから、爆弾発言をされたのは5月のことでした。私にとってピアノを弾くのは30年ぶり。ピアノも持っていなかったので、電子ピアノを買いました。そして4ヵ月後には譜面を書くようになりました。これは、ボイストレーナーがただ弾くことを教えるのではなく、自分だけの完全オリジナル譜面を作って演奏することを目標に掲げているからです。

　'Why don't you play it?' was the bombshell from my voice trainer of 10 years, in May. For me, it's been 30 years since I played the piano. I didn't even own a piano, so I bought an electronic piano. And after four months, I started writing music scores. This is because my voice trainer doesn't just teach me to play, but sets the goal of creating my own completely original musical score and playing it.

　５月の私は、３０年ぶりのピアノのため、指の動きも悪く、ピアノの鍵盤も重く感じるくらいでした。そのため、弾いてみたかったジムノペティをまず攻略することを自らの目標にしたものです。そうすれば、譜読みも思い出していけるでしょう。２か月くらいすると、ストリートピアノデビューを果たしました。私のジムノペティを聴いてくれていた人が一人いて、話しかけられました。とても喜んでくれたようです。この体験から、もっと頑張ろうと思いはじめました。

　In May, I had not played the piano in 30 years, so my fingers were not moving well, and the piano keys felt heavy. So, I set myself the goal of first conquering Gymnopédies, which I wanted to play, and then I would be able to remember how to read music. After about two months, I made my street piano debut. One of the people who had been listening to my Gymnopédies spoke to me. She seemed very happy to listen to it. From this experience, I started to try harder.

　弾き語りは、基本コードを抑えていくものですが、コードだけでは単調になるので、途中に音を加えたり、間奏部分をアレンジして作曲したりもします。ボイトレの先生もその都度感覚で弾くので、どれが正解とかはないものですが、その中でもよさそうなアレンジをカタカナで、ドレミなど書いて練習しました。

　The playing is based on holding down the basic chords, but as the chords alone are monotonous, I sometimes add notes in the middle or arrange and compose the interlude parts. The voice trainer also plays the song according to her feeling each time, so there is no correct answer, but I practiced the arrangements that seemed to be the best among them by writing in katakana, such as 'do-re-mi'.

　先月のレッスンでついに先生が、「譜面を書いたら？勉強になると思う」とおっしゃるではないですか！　負荷をかけることが好きなので、それはいい提案だ！と思いました。

Finally, at last month's lesson, the teacher said, "Why don't you write a musical score? I think you'll learn a lot"!　That's a good suggestion, because I like to strain myself! I thought.

　今の時代はきっとアプリで譜面を書けるのではないかと思い、調べてみると、年間6600円の有料アプリを見つけました。まさに、求めていたものというかんじで、はじめての譜面書きですが、夢中で1曲まずは仕上げて先生に送ると、「かなりいい感じですね」とお返事をいただきました。

　I thought, surely in this day and age we can write music scores with apps, so I looked into it and found a paid app that costs 6,600 yen per year. It was exactly what I was looking for, and although it was my first time writing music notation, I was so enthusiastic that I finished one song first and sent it to my teacher, who replied that it looked pretty good.

　実際に私の書いた譜面でレッスンに臨み、さらに修正が入りました。これで完全オリジナルな私だけの楽譜が完成したのです。アプリにシェア機能があるので、シェアしようかなと、先生に言ったら、「著作権があるんだから、そんな簡単にはシェアしちゃだめよ(笑)」と言われました。そうですね。それだけ手間暇かけて作り上げたオリジナル譜面ですから。(笑)

　そして、3曲目の私だけの譜面を今作り始めているところです。

　I went to the lesson with my written score and further corrections were made. Now I have my own complete original sheet music. The app has a share function, so I told my teacher I was thinking of sharing it, but she said, 'You can't share it that easily because it's copyrighted'. That's right. It's an original score that I put a lot of time and effort into.

　And I'm just now starting to work on my own score for the third song.
