Career
Ankita started her acting career in 2006 with the theatre group Scenepot in their production Gunner Bornomala. After her career in theatre, she was introduced into the Bengali TV industry with ETV’s mega serial Kakhono Megh Kakhono Brishti, which was directed by Anindo Sarkar.
She is not only a famous actress in TV serials but she has also worked in films. She has worked in one of the most famous crime thriller series Byomkesh Bakshi (Byomkesh Phir Elo (2014) and Byomkesh Bakshi (2015)).
Later she signed one after another mega serial with Star Jalsha, Zee Bangla and ETV (Nirbhanga Jhor, Star Jolsha, Binny Dhaner Khoi, Dokhin Khola, Kabul. She has also featured in ad films and one of the famous was Horlicks Junior.
