When Geoff Wightman shifted with his kids and family to Edinburgh his both sons were only 10 years old. At that time he was appointed as chief executive of Scottish Athletics. He then started coaching players for their next big race and even his son. He has been giving training to his son Jake Wightman since his son was only 11 years old. Geoff has trained many athletes including big names like Stephanie Twell and Harvey Dixon.
