高輪ゲートウェイ駅｜Takanawa Gateway Station

JR山手線の高輪ゲートウェイの駅が素敵だ。駅全体に大きな屋根がかかっていて、ホームはとても開放感があり他の山手線の駅とはちょっと違う雰囲気だ。構造的にはヨーロッパの駅舎をちょっと彷彿とさせるところもある。ただヨーロッパの駅はなんだか情緒的な印象があるのだが、高輪ゲートウェイは近代的でシャープで通勤というイメージだ。駅前で工事がガンガンに進んでいて、将来ビル群が完成すると、さらに情緒がなくなるのだろうなぁ（絵と文：サカキテツ朗）

The JR Yamanote Line Takanawa Gateway station is wonderful. The entire station is covered with a large roof, and the platform has a very open feel, giving it a slightly different atmosphere than other Yamanote Line stations. Structurally, it is somewhat reminiscent of European station buildings. However, European stations have a somewhat emotional impression, but Takanawa Gateway is a modern, sharp and commuting image. Construction is progressing rapidly in front of the station, and when the buildings are completed in the future, the emotional atmosphere will disappear even more. -Text and illustration by Ted Sakaki
