新年会には高砂やー｜Takasago for the New Year's Party

能の歴史は６５０年前に遡る。能の歌詞、音階、舞は変えることは許されず、ほぼ６５０年前の姿が受け継がれているという。ただでさえ遠い存在がさらに遠く感じてしまう。しかし藤田美術館で能を体験する会があった。３回の講習で高砂の一節を歌い、舞えるようになるという趣向だ。まずはすり足の練習。手をあげて、背筋をピンと伸ばし、すりすりと歩くが足先がつりそうになる。次は発声練習。思いっきり声を出していると、声の抑揚も心地良くなってくる。しだいに遠い存在だった能が自分の身体に染み込んでくるような気がしてくる。新年会には高砂を披露できそうな気がしてきた。（絵と文：サカキテツ朗）

The history of Noh goes back 650 years. Noh's lyrics, scale, and dance are not allowed to change, and it is said that the appearance of about 650 years ago has been inherited. An already distant existence feels even more distant. However, there was a lecture to experience Noh at the Fujita Museum. The idea is to learn to sing and dance Takasago in three lessons. First, practice sliding feet. I raise my hands, straighten my spine, and walk smoothly, but my toes feel like they're going to cramp. Next is vocal practice. When I speak with all my might, the intonation of my voice becomes more comfortable. Gradually, I feel that Noh, which was once a distant existence, is seeping into my body.
