Can you describe difference between “used to do” and “get used to doing”?

“used to do” is an auxiliary verb meaning something you did continuously for a certain period of time in the past. On the other hand, “get used to doing” is the situation you are comfortable with doing a certain act after practicing.

What have you gotten used to doing every day?

-I’ve gotten used to getting up at 5am.

What did you used to do after school when you’re in elementary school?

-I used to play catch with my friend at a park after school.
