Citi Trends announces third quarter sales

Citi Trends Inc reported unaudited sales results for the third quarter of fiscal 2008. Total sales in the 13-week period ended November 1, 2008 increased 5.4% to $104.9 million compared with $99.5 million in the 13-week period ended November 3, 2007. Comparable store sales decreased 4.2% in the third quarter. In light of the decline in comparable store sales, the Company believes it will recognize a loss per diluted share in a range of $0.09 to $0.13, compared to last year`s third quarter loss of $0.04. Citi Trends Inc is a value-priced retailer of urban fashion apparel and accessories for the entire family.
