英語の質問に答えてみた③
今回も面白そうな質問に答えてみました。

If you had a time machine, would you go to
the past or the future? Why?
(もしタイムマシンがあったら過去に
行く？それとも未来に行く？それはなぜ？)

If I had a time machine, I would definitely
choose to go to the past. I never want
to see the future no matter what because
all the things I do now seems to become
meaningless if I knew what was coming.
There are various things I would love to
know in the past to understand not only
history of the world and, but also my own
family's.
I would love to witness a lot of historically
important events around the world as well
as events that are considered mysterious
today and check what actually happened
then. I am especially interested in the
beginning of the human history, the time
when people started to migrate, how major
religions were founded and when
ancient civilizations arose.
I am also curious about people of the past,
too. I wonder how people in ancient times
lived. I would love to meet famous historical figures such as Socrates, Himiko, Lincoln, and John Manjiro to name a few,
as well.
At last, tracing back all of my ancestors to
understand my background is one thing I
definitely want to do if I could go to the past. I want to know where they originally come from, what kind of lives they had, what kind of people they were, if they looked like me, and what brought them where my family and I are today.
There are just so many things I want to do
if I could go to the past!!

雑なので色々おかしなところもあると
思いますが、要点は
タイムマシンがあるなら確実に過去に行きたい。世界の歴史と自分の家族の歴史が知りた
いから。未来を知ってしまうと今自分がやっ
ていることの意味が見いだせなくなってしま
う気がするので未来にはいきたいとは思いま
せん。
過去に行けたら、
世界の歴史の重要な出来事が起こった時期や
現在はミステリーとされていることが起こっ
た時期に行って実際はどうだったのかを
見たい！特に興味があるのは、人間の歴史が
始まった頃、人類が世界に向けて移動を始め
た頃、主な宗教が生まれた頃と色んな文明が
おこった時期。
あと昔の人たちにも興味がある。
どんな暮らしをしていたのか知りたい
(特に古代の頃)。歴史上の人物にも
会いたい。
それから自分のバックグラウンドを
理解するためにも自分のご先祖さん
たちを最初からさかのぼって知りたい。
どんな人でどこから始まってどんな
見た目でどんな人生でどういう経緯で
今自分たちが住んでいるところに
たどり着いたのか。
そういうの考えるとワクワクしてくる！
タイムマシンがあったらいいのに！
