サーフィンやウインドサーフィンで最近フォイルというものが出ているらしい。ヨットのような長いフィンがあることで、波にのるのではなく、宙に浮くため抵抗がほとんどなくなり、ものすごいスピードが出るというもの。完成されたスタイルを極めるということではなく、さらにその先が生まれるという土壌はスゴイ。

Surfing and wind surfing seems to have come out of "foil" recently. By having a long fin like a yacht, it's not in the waves, it floats in the air so there is almost no resistance and it gets a tremendous speed. It is amazing that they are not satisfied the existing style, and always creating new style.
