Hello travelers!

This is Sumi Aizome Studio, where you can experience traditional Japanese indigo dyeing.

You can learn various indigo dyeing techniques while having fun at the Aizome Studio, a home and workshop located in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture.

The instructor is Toshinori Sumi, an aizome artist who has exhibited and taught in France and Japan.

Aizome School offers a one-day course for those who want to start easily, a three-day course for those who want to learn various techniques, and a full-fledged course for those who want to learn how to make indigo dye.

We also offer a 2-week course where you can learn how to make indigo dye in earnest.
