37.5℃の壁｜Line of 37.5℃

保育園から電話がかかってくると身体が凍りつく。「午後の計測で37.5℃を超えたので、お迎えお願いします」午後の予定は全てキャンセル。保育園に迎えに行くと元気に飛び出してくる。すでに熱は下がってきているものの、一度37.5℃を超えると翌日もお休みしないといけない。翌日の親のスケジュール調整が大変だ。出張取りやめ、病院、病児保育、シッターさん手配・・・。子供がシリアスな場面ではすぐに駆けつけたいけれど、そこまでではないことも多い。保育園の体温計は高めに設定されているんじゃないかと恨んでしまう。保育園に小児科医院が併設されていたらいいのになぁといつも思う。異次元の少子化対策で経済的なこともあるけれど、個人ではなんともならないところを改革して欲しいものだ。（絵と文：サカキテツ朗）

My body freezes when I get a call from the nursery school. Please pick up your child from the nursery school." All my plans for the afternoon are canceled. When I go to pick her up, she comes out fine. Although her fever has already gone down, once it exceeds 37.5°C, she has to be absent the next day as well. It is difficult to adjust the parents' schedule for the next day. Canceling business trips, hospitals, sick child care, arranging a sitter.... I want to rush to the hospital immediately when my child is in a serious situation, but often it is not that serious. I wonder if the nursery school's thermometer is probably set high. I always wish there was a pediatrician's office attached to the nursery school.
