第三取水塔 | Intake tower No.3

金町浄水場は、大正15年(1926年)８月に給水を開始した施設です。江戸川の右岸にある２基の取水塔から表流水を取り入れ、金町浄水場内へ導水しています。三角形のトンガリ帽子の屋根を持つレンガ造りの第２取水塔は、昭和16年に完成しました。こちらのドーム屋根の第3取水塔は、昭和39年(1964年)に完成しました。第1取水塔は、この第3取水塔が建設される際に取り壊されました。

Kanamachi water purification plant started water supply in 1926. It takes water through two intake towers on the right bank of the Edogawa River and guids water into the Kanamachi Purification Plant. The second intake tower with a brick construction has a triangle hat shape roof was built in 1945. The third intake tower with dome roof was built in 1964. The first intake tower was pulled down when this third intake tower was constructed.
