そろばん教室とプロジェクトの準備：Abacus class，Dream themepark project！

今日は、先日のそろばん教室の様子と、「ぼく、わたしの、ドリーム　テーマパーク」のプロジェクト発表の準備の様子をお伝えしたいと思います。

＊そろばん教室

ブリスベン日本学園では、お父さん、お母さん方にご参加頂き、定期的に親子クラスでのそろばん教室を開催しています。

オーストラリア🇦🇺で暮らしていると、そろばんはもちろんの事、日本の文化的なことに親子揃って触れ合えることは嬉しいですね。

＊「ぼく、わたしのドリームテーマパーク」

クラス発表プロジェクトの準備。クラスメイトとチームを組んで、夢のような理想のテーマパークについて話し合い、テーマパークを作っています。

プロジェクトの計画書を見せてもらって驚いたのは、ちゃんと日本語で、様々なテーマについて描写されていたことです。

アイススケートやペンギンと一緒に泳げるプール？！マスコットのカラフルなショー、それにマジックワールド。たくさんの夢と希望が詰まったドリームテーマパークです。

完成後の発表も楽しみですが、それまでの過程を見せてもらう事こそ、創意工夫に溢れた生徒さんの成長が見えて嬉しくなってしまいますね。

Last week at JLCSB class have had the opportunity to participate in an abacus class with their parents/ guardians. It was able to see that all students was able to have a fun time while learning how to use an abacus. 

*What is Soroban(Abacus)?

The SOROBAN, known as the Japanese abacus in English, is considered to be the first calculator in Japan and has played a significant role in the cultural and educational development of the country.

***The SOROBAN is a rectangular wooden instrument used to do calculations based on the decimal system. The frame is 33 by 6 centimeters. It has vertical rods with sliding beads and a fixed bar across the rods. The standard Japanese soroban used today has 23 rods with 5 beads each, 1 above the bar and 4 below.
