氷川神社のクロガネモチ | Kuroganemochi at Hikawa Jinja

このクロガネモチは高さ11.7m、根回り2.45m、地上2.4mで2幹に分かれていました。神社創建以来、天正年間(1573-1591)よりの御神木と伝えられています。平成7年8月11日午後4時、老樹のために惜しまれつつも現状となりましたが、現在も注連縄が張られ奉られています。葛飾区内にある同種樹木のうちでも巨木で貴重な存在でした。

This Kuroganemochi (Ilex rotunda, Round Leaf Holly) had a height of 11.7m, a circumference of 2.45m. It was divided into two trunks at 2.4m above the ground. It has been said to be the sacred tree since this shrine was founded. At 4 p.m. on August 11, 1995, it was regrettable but became the current situation because of old tree. Even now it keeps a sacred shrine rope. The tree was a precious existence in big one among allogeneic trees in Katsushika.
