"Shonen" is a boy who used to struggle. Yes, remember yourself. This song is about the melancholy and sadness of childhood that everyone feels, and the singing style is called "talking blues." It can be interpreted as having no dreams or hopes, but it also contains the nuance that at the end of life he lived a fulfilling life and was satisfied.

The song follows the rock 'n' roll etiquette but is challenging to interpret, including the five beats per measure at the beginning, adding confusion and hooks.

There are also modulations and a rap-like middle part on top of a country lick, and its dizzying development will keep you from getting tired of listening to it. A guitar solo full of hyper feeling unique to the 2020s is played on a vintage 1950s Telecaster equipped with a B-string bender and is one of the highlights.

「ショーネン」は、かつてもがいていた少年のこと。そう、思い出して下さい、自分自身を。この曲は、多かれ少なかれ誰もが感じる少年時代特有の哀愁や悲しみを歌っており、歌い方は「トーキング・ブルース」を意識しています。夢も希望もなかったとも解釈できますが、人生の終わりには充実した人生を送って満足したというニュアンスを含んでいます。

この曲はロックンロールのエチケットに従っていますが、冒頭の5/4拍子を含めて解釈するのが難しく、戸惑いとフックを与えます。

転調や、カントリー・リックに乗せたラップ調の中間パートもあり、そのめまぐるしい展開は聴いていて飽きさせません。Bストリング・ベンダーを装備した1950年代のヴィンテージ・テレキャスターで奏でられる2020年代ならではのハイパー感溢れるギターソロも聴きどころのひとつです。
