二十一仏庚申塔 | Twenty-one Buddha koshin tower

この庚申塔は承応4(1655)年に造立されました。この塔には山王２１社の本地仏の種子（梵字）と三尸（人の体内にあって短命にする虫）の文字を刻み、連華・沢瀉の葉を描いています。この庚申塔は中世の２１仏板碑から、近世の庚申塔にうつる頃の貴重なものです。

This koshin tower was constructed in Jouou 4th (1655). This tower has engraved letters, Honchibutsu sanskrit characters of Sanno twenty one Shrines (Honchibutsu is the original Buddhist identity of a Shinto) and characters of Sanshi (Sanshi is the three worms in the human body that shorten the life span). and also has engraved leafs of a lotus flower and threeleaf arrowhead. It is a valuable tower created in the era from the medieval twenty one Buddhist monument on the medieval period to Buddha koshin tower on the early modern period.
