This meeting was a special-theme meeting organized by TM F, titled “くずし、破調、ロックンロール.” The meeting was unconventional and exciting in many ways.

During the business session, a motion was presented by President K and Treasurer Y regarding the budget for the new fiscal year. After an insightful discussion, the budget plan was approved by a vote of the active members.

In the main session, TM F used various humorous styles and poses to introduce each role-taker, adding a different kind of fun and relaxed atmosphere to the meeting. TM S introduced the word “Katayaburi 型破り (unconventional)” as the Word of the Day. To add to the fun, the meeting format was shuffled, with the prepared speech session held before the table topics, deviating from the regular pattern.

There were four prepared speeches, delivered by TM I, TM S, TM P, and TM K. TM I came to the lectern donning a blue afro wig, TM S performed amusing gestures by rolling on the table, TM P spoke about life lessons, and TM K took a very unconventional approach by delivering a Table Topics-style spontaneous speech assigned on the spot by his evaluator, TM T. The speeches were entertaining and kept the audience engaged, in keeping with the unconventional tone set at the beginning. TM K was adjudged the Best Speaker in the prepared speech category.

TM I took over as the Table Topics Master and introduced the theme “夏だからこそ,” which had to be continued in a しりとり style. TM F, TM I, TM E, TM K, TM T, and TM K were invited to the lectern for the TT speech segment. Each of them spoke about their summer stories, with some of the humorous highlights being: TM I voluntarily raising his hand to be a TT speaker so that he could go to the restroom sooner, TM K sharing how she could never become overweight despite being on an American diet in the USA, TM T talking about her story of food and weight, TM E sharing how he took up basketball after his little daughter pointed out his belly fat, and TM K shrugging off in style the entire discussion on weight, instead speaking about something she likes 😆 All the TT speakers were very sporting, showed spontaneous sharp-wittedness, and a sense of humour that resonated with the unconventional mood of the meeting set by the TMOD. TM O took up the challenging role of TT Evaluator and meticulously reviewed all the six TT speeches highlighting their unique strengths in very limited time.

In the evaluation section, TM Y, as General Evaluator, introduced yet another unconventional style by interviewing each speaker and evaluator after their evaluations, and the banter added more fun to the meeting. TM E and TM T were both adjudged the Best Evaluator.
