今日は、レギュラーメンバーがお休みで、土曜日のVivid Conversations から遊びに来てもらいました。

諸般の事情で20分弱しか練習できなかったのですが、過去の水曜日ネタの再利用で即興スピーチをたのしみました。

 We’re planning to go to the Ooarai next month.

But today, my husband is picking up a kitten from his friend.

Facilitator: A kitten? How exciting! But won’t that make it hard to go to a hot spring?

Attendee: Yes, we might not go next week because of the new kitten.

Facilitator: Will you get a pet sitter for the kitten when you travel?

Attendee: My husband is looking for a pet hotel nearby. I’ve never had a pet before, so I’m a little nervous.

Facilitator: I love cats! I used to have two at my parents’ house. But be careful—they might scratch walls, fusuma, or tatami mats. You’ll need scratch boards.

Attendee: I’ll definitely buy some.

Facilitator: Good idea. I even hung scratch boards on walls to protect them. Otherwise, cats will scratch anything!

Attendee: That’s helpful advice.

Facilitator: Now, for me, I’m not really an onsen enthusiast. I’ve been to many onsens, like Yumato Onsen and some in Nagano, but I often feel sick after soaking too long. I prefer super sento because I can choose the baths I like best.

Attendee: I recommend Spa Meta Otakanomori near Nagareyama Otakanomori Station. It’s Korean-style, huge, and you can stay all day.

Facilitator: That sounds amazing! Thanks for the recommendation.
