「知覧武家屋敷庭園 4.佐多美舟氏庭園」鹿児島県南九州市

知覧武家屋敷にはそれぞれ日本庭園があり、全７庭がまとめて有料で公開されています。今回はその3番目「佐多美舟氏庭園」です。佐多家は知覧の武家の中でも上位に属し門構えが立派です。この屋敷では鹿児島の庭で多く見られるアーチ状の磯石で洞穴を作る石組みが見られます。また枯山水の他に小さな木立があり光と影の対照的な庭園景観を生み出しています。木立の中を歩くと足元にタニワタリが植えられいかにも南国鹿児島らしい庭です。

"Chiran Bukeyashiki teien 4.The garden of Sata Mifune" Minamikyusyu-city Kagoshima-pref

There are Japanese gardens in each of the Chiran Samurai Residences, and all 7 gardens are open to the public.

This time is fourth. The garden of Sata Mifune was made in 1751 to 1764. In this garden there is a small forest besides Karesansu. If Karesansui is the world of light, the world in the forest is a shadow. There are different worlds in this garden. Ferns and plants are also planted in the forest. It is a tropical landscape like Kagoshima in the south. The Sata family is a high class samurai in this area and the gates of the mansion have winged roofs.
