Damn, That's one spot on Bass line there. Wish I could have been there, but I did see them in Bristol two weeks ago. Still my second favorite band in the world. But who could compete with a marble machine. ;) Ok, maybe if they performed Marbles with a marble machine. ;).

Been a Marillion fan since 1983 (city hall St Albans), White Paper was the first song I disliked, and generally I skipped it when playing F.E.A.R.... Then I started to get it, to the point that I played it on repeat endlessly! What an awesome song, possibly in my top 5 Marillion songs now!.

you should have been filming official video! just watched the dvd of the show, mixed emotions, a very touching experience watching absolute masters of their craft who (one would think) would be aware of how great they are to be sincerely taken , almost overwhelmed, by the occasion and the venue and the fact that they are in albert hall filled with devoted fans , on the other hand the filming of the show is DIABOLICAL, some idiot decided to spend almost half the time filming RAH from the back so you can't see anything, musicians, audience ... video direction at its absolute worst, but still what a touching experience seeing the boys to be so unexpectedly touched by the whole thing!.

Amazing band and an incredible night

Amazing Music. I not sure, but can it be true, that their music became better through the years? I mean i hear the old albums, and then this new interpretation and the instrumental part as well as his voice seem to be much nicer than in the past, if i compare the same songs..

Just another year until we're there again. Can't wait!! I first saw Marillion on the last day of April 1981, at Dacorum College, Hemel Hempstead, when doing my 'O'-levels. It was Marillion's tenth gig. They'd only stopped being Silmarillion the month before. Brian Jelliman on keyboards. Mark Kelly wouldn't join for another six months. Ian Moseley and Pete Trewavas were still a year or two away. I remember 'Grendel' and facepainted Fish as if it were yesterday. Back then, if I was in Aylesbury, I'd walk past Fish's terraced house in Albert Street and touch the brass numbers on his front door as I passed! Saw the band there in 2013 and for old times' sake, went down Albert Street. Front door had been painted but brass numbers still there. Fish has signed and doodled on some postcards for my kids in recent years and Steve was kind enough to pose in Woodstock (his Blenheim Literary Festival church reading/gig) with a sign saying 'Hello!' and bearing the names of my kids. They were knocked for six when they saw the photos! I was lucky enough to get two front row/centre seats for the Royal Albert Hall gig. If you look at the other current Royal Albert Hall trailer clip, I'm the crew-cut guy you can see in the front row at 00.24. Really looking forward to the release of the DVD. At the end of the gig, Steve came to the edge of the stage and handed me his white Rickenbacker to hold (to free himself up to take his final bows with the rest of the band). So the guy you'll see Steve giving his guitar to - at which I then turn and brandish the guitar over my head at the entire Albert Hall! - is me. Love from me to Marillion and Marillion fans everywhere x.

IMHO, this is the best cd Marillion has released and, dare I say is the pinnacle of their career. Playing the Royal Albert Hall seems to bring the best out of. I love this final of the suite. The first time i heard it was impossible to not think about lavender, this is her little sister. so beautiful and emotional. Rothery was on fire during the final sustain i heard on Milan gig during the play of the entire album here... best album since 1994 imho. a very progressive masterpiece..
