Loads of CGI with the sea battle scenes. And what's with the pop music ???? Trying to update this story just doesn't work. And the guy playing Juddah Ben-Hur doesn't look strong enough to survive his ordeals. Looks a bit too much like a soap opera. How is it a movie made with all the advance CGI we have today, looks more flat are cartoonish than the one made decades ago.    Of course, having Morgan Freeman, who has sold his soul for political agendas over everything else, doesn't help.  Voice or no.. Great movie, I actually love this new version, it has not tried to duplicate the original and has changed the ending to strongly promote Forgiveness “en lieu” of Power and Revenge. What I also like is the omission of favouritism by God for only a certain group of people..

Visually this looks impressive, and I am not trying to compare it to the original which won't be surpassed. I do hope the sound track is not as per the trailer. The music is so out of sync with the subject. Remember the music to the opening of the chariot race in the 59 version? Epic and timeless. Interesting comments on the part Jesus plays in the original and this remake. The lack of words and facial recognition adds something spiritual to the original movie. Again, you just won't be able to compare the 2 movies and should instead just take this new version as it comes..

What's next, 'The GodFather' remake with Kellan Lutz, Miles Teller and Jai Courtney and to be directed by M Night Shamalyan?.

If u have seen the original don't bother - its a terrible remake and the change to the end is absurd - they may as well have made other changes like Jesus escaping crucifixion! The only redeeming feature was the Chariot racing scene which in some respects was as good as the original but not all entirely better in my opinion..

So sad yet so uplifting. God bless you all, lets do what Jesus's legacy has led us to do

Editing in this trailer overcompensates for the original's lack of cuts. L'art et la manière de se ridiculiser avec un remake qui ne sert à rien. the one thing i don't like with this movie is the shaky cam...smh The original was primarily about relationships, and had a ton of emotion - as well as spectacle, and just looking at this trailer they've gone off in the cgi/bang/crash/shout direction.
