Fushimi-Inari Torii Gates (Kyoto) 

- This southern Kyoto shrine is famous for the thousands of vermillion torii gates in a row along the pilgrimage paths on the small mountain. Each torii gate was donated by company or wealthy merchant praying for prospering buisiness.

This place is also the starting point of the mountain trail route of surrounding Kyoto City. If you follow the signs, you can make a mountain round trip of Kyoto City passing through Mt.Hiei and Arashiyama.
