Here’s a simple, homemade tomato sauce recipe you can make easily:
Ingredients:
4–5 ripe tomatoes
2–3 garlic cloves, minced
1–2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sugar (optional, balances acidity)
Salt to taste
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp dried oregano or basil (optional)
¼ cup water (if needed for consistency)
Method:
Prepare Tomatoes:
Wash tomatoes and chop them roughly.
For smoother sauce, you can blanch and peel them.
Cook Aromatics:
Heat olive oil in a pan.
Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes (do not burn).
Cook Tomatoes:
Add chopped tomatoes to the pan.
Add salt, sugar, pepper, and optional herbs.
