是川縄文館（八戸市埋蔵文化財センター）

国宝「合掌土偶」をはじめ、市内の出土品を常設展示。隣接する是川石器時代遺跡は、世界遺産に登録されている「北海道・北東北の縄文遺跡群」の構成資産のひとつ。

Korekawa Jomon Museum
Korekawa Jomon Museum dispatches the Jomon cultures of the Tohoku Region through exhibitions of items and artifacts from Korekawa Site and Kazahari 1 Site. The National Treasure “Gassho Clay Figure” is from the late-Jomon Period, which places its hands together in prayer while sitting down. It holds a great academic value because it shows the modes of living and spiritual conceptions of the Jomon Period.
