八幡馬

櫛引八幡宮の例祭に参詣者の土産物として売られるようになりました。胸や腹の巧みな曲線加工と華やかな色模様で作られた八幡馬は、福島の三春駒、宮城の木下駒とともに日本三駒のひとつに数えられています。

Yawatauma (Horse figurine)
Yawatauma was sold as a souvenir for visitors to the annual festival at Kushihiki Hachimangu Shrine. It is known as one of the three most popular horse-shaped figures along with Miharu-goma from Fukushima Prefecture and Kinoshita-goma from Miyagi Prefecture for its skillful curves at the chest and stomach and vivid colors.
