Fujishimasha shrine

There is a big wisteria plant. It is very important for people in Suwa.

It is said that the wisteria was used by "Takeminakatanomikoto", the god of Suwa shrine, when he battled with the native god, "Misyagujisama".

Suwa has two "Fujishimasya shrine".One "Fujishimasya shrine"is located in Jinguji. The other is located in Okaya.
